Research: Potential Artist Research

In order to find the perfect artist, I had to research a vast amount of emerging artists that may fit my genre. This consisted of looking at numerous videos, looking into general information and listening to their album. I then ranked my favourite videos from 1-10 and then decided my top 3 from that strategy.

Initially, I search for emerging artists in 2017. 

I then listened to some songs on YouTube. This allowed me to vaguely work out a narrative that may fit the song. I considered the genre, as this is important when thinking which music magazine my advertisement will feature in. 

After listening to the artist's songs, I began to research background information, including albums the artist has released. 

After knowing information and listening to songs, I decided to rank the songs from 1 (dislike) to 10 (like), and then listen to the songs again until I could come to a clear judgement.  My top 3 songs were: Arlissa - New Love, Arlissa- Hearts Ain't Gonna Lie and Logic - 1-800-273-8255.
